I thought today I’d have a moan, Oh here he goes I hear you groan
My subject matter paths and roads, I really could write loads and loads
Deliveroo pass left and right, cutting in where space is tight
Legs are dangling, on their phone, L Plates flutter, bikes on loan
Made it through now here come bikes, dressed the same like lookalikes
Front wheels high, I ask you really, when did you last do a wheelie
The time was when the roads were clear, now kids on bikes both front and rear
Our hero rider Eddie Kidd, have these kids seen what he did?
I park the car and towpath take and realise my huge mistake
Electric Bikes and Scooters race, coming close, increasing pace
Should I dive into the hedge or teeter on the rivers edge
Not sure now which way to go… when will life return to SLOW!
