Back home …

Day 3 – Back home … For my third artwork I have captured a late evening shot of Fishing Trawlers moored up after days at sea.

This scene has been extremely popular with lovers of our UK Coast and is inspired by the wonderful atmosphere of the fish quay in Brixham. It is extremely dangerous at sea in rough weather and to see the boats returning makes the heart sing. This original linocut is now available.

Salt is the breath of ocean slopes and fresher blows the breeze,
And swifter still each bounding keel cuts through the combing seas,
Athwart our masts the shadows of the dipping sea-gulls float,
And all the water-world’s alive when the fishing boats go out. Lucy Maud Montgomery
